Just an update that I got started on work tonight. Because Blizzard changed all the ID used for ignore, one of my main concerns is implementing a scheme where previously delisted accounts are still delisted, as that was all done with the old IDs. Right now, if I only fixed things for the changes in page structure on the forums, the system would think no one is delisted.
But also, since all the IDs are new and I don’t see an obvious algorithmic mapping from old to new, the alt database is basically going to restart fresh, unless I figure out a way to link old to new with reasonable confidence using the data I have available.
Incidentally, right now my database is at 2.3 million alts / 1 million battle.net accounts. There are 1965 delisted accounts right now, and I don’t intend to let down two thousand people here. I can still use the existing alt data to decide that a new account ID should be covered by an old delisted account ID.
After the backend changes, I still also have to update the addon for the new forum layout. It actually looks better-structured and easier to work with, at least. Once everything is back in working order, I’ll look into things like style / readability tweaks.
